The aims of the November 2006 field season were to (i) assess the potential of certain locations in the Northern Sector for the sampling and dating of palaeo-environmental indicators, (ii) identify animal species represented in the rock art of the Northern Sector in order to identify past environmental conditions based on the habitat requirements of these species, and (iii) identify and record new archaeological sites in the Northern Sector.
